Representative Kay Granger (R-TX)
Kay Granger is the Congresswoman for the 12th District of Texas for the 111th Congress. Granger currently serves as the Ranking Member of the appropriations subcommittee on State-Foreign Operations and also sits on the Defense appropriations subcommittee. During the 110th Congress, she served as Vice Chair of the House Republican Conference. Granger is the author of the book, What's Right About America, Celebrating Our Nation's Values. Before coming to Congress, Granger served three terms as the Mayor of Fort Worth. She is a member of the Texas Women's Hall of Fame and was recently awarded the 2009 Jeane J. Kirkpatrick award from the International Republican Institute Women's Democracy Network. Granger holds a B.S. from Texas Wesleyan University.
