Thomas R. Pickering
Thomas Pickering joined Hills & Company as their Vice Chairman in December 2006. After retiring from the State Department in 2000, Pickering joined the Boeing Company as Senior Vice President, International Relations and member of the Executive Council. Pickering served as U.S. Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs (1997-2000). Prior to that, he served as the president of the Eurasia Foundation. Pickering held the personal rank of Career Ambassador. He has served as U.S. ambassador to the Russian Federation, India, Israel, El Salvador, Nigeria, and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and to the United Nations. Pickering received a master's degree from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University and a master’s degree from the University of Melbourne.
