Rajeev Venkayya

Helene GayleRajeev Venkayya is the Director for Global Health Delivery at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. Previously, Venkayya served as Special Assistant to the U.S. President and Senior Director for Biodefense at the White House. He served as an advisor to the Director of the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and was one of 13 nonpartisan White House Fellows appointed by President Bush in 2002. Venkayya is a pulmonary and critical care physician and assistant professor of medicine at the University of California, San Francisco. He holds a M.D. from Northeastern Ohio Universities College of Medicine.
